Challenge

Banking as a Service (BaaS) is a new concept that helps non-financial brands embed banking services in their applications. Starling Bank wanted help to communicate this message in a fun and non-patronising way.

Challenge
Strategy

There are so many questions that brands have about BaaS. The strategy was to create a fun Q&A ad that answers the 8 main questions.

Strategy
Execution

Ekstasy created an ad film under a minute long, which was fun and fast paced. The voice over answers the questions of 8 different key decision-makers ranging from different departments such as finance, IT, strategy, marketing and others. Ekstasy also came up with the idea of turning BaaS into SaaS (Starling as a Service) just like Intel did with “Intel Inside”. SaaS has now been trademarked.

Execution

CFO - Starling International
Working with Ekstasy was brilliant. They absolutely got it. They got the vibe, that we wanted. They helped us build our ideas about how to get our vision across and it has been a lot of fun!
